Diarest-02 Syrup is an Ofloxacin & Metronidazole-based syrup, used in the treatment of bacterial and parasitic infections. It effectively treats a wide range of bacterial infections Ofloxacin -Acts by preventing DNA within the bacteria from dividing and regrouping, thus preventing their reproductive cycle and causing the bacterial cells to die -Broad spectrum activity against gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria, mycoplasma, rickettsia as well as against bacteria resistant to other drugs Metronidazole -Treats infections caused by susceptible anaerobic bacteria & protozoa. -It is nitroimidazole with superior "efficacy and a longer duration of action. -It kills susceptible microorganisms by interfering with DNA functioning.

Corise Diarest O2 Suspension is a combination of Ofloxacin, Metronidazole, and Simethicone for control as a support in treating diarrhea in dogs and cats. The combination of these drugs shows higher efficacy, broad-spectrum antimicrobial action, least incidence of side effects and both are well tolerated. Ofloxacin stops DNA replication copy or multiplication within the bacteria preventing bacteria from reproduction.
Metronidazole is a nitroimidazole with superior efficacy and a longer duration of action. It kills susceptible microorganisms by interfering with DNA functioning. Simethicone is used to treat the symptoms of too much stomach acid such as stomach upset, heartburn, and acid indigestion.

It is also used to relieve symptoms of extra gas such as belching (noisily expelling air from the stomach), swelling, and feelings of pressure/discomfort in the stomach/gut. Simethicone helps break up gas bubbles in the gut.
